Welcome to Yehoshua’s Talmidim! In this blog I hope to address those issues that are near and dear to those of us who are being led of the Ruach haKodesh to come out of the religious systems of this world, and are learning to walk with the Mashiach of the Scriptures, not the redefined, ‘remade in man’s image’ messiah that is presented through todays many man-made religious systems.

And Yehoshua answering, said to them, “Take heed that no one leads you astray. “For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they shall lead many astray. “And you shall begin to hear of fightings and reports of fightings. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet. “For nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places. “And all these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then they shall deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake. “And then many shall stumble, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. “And many false prophets shall rise up and lead many astray. “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved. “And this Good News of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.

(Mattithyahu 24:4-14)

The days referred to in the passage above are at our very doorstep. We as the Body of Messiah need to begin to establish relationship with our Messiah on HIS terms, not the terms of any five-and-dime religious system down the street. The days for ‘playing religion’ are past; soon our very survival will be at stake. Our only hope in these waning days is to cling to our Messiah, learning to listen to His voice, and follow HIS instructions AND HIS example as set forth in His Scriptures.

“By this shall all know that you are My talmidim, if you have love for one another.”

(Yochanan 13:35)

My heart’s desire is to be a resource to the flock of Messiah Yehoshua, doing what He gives me the ability to do to strengthen, encourage, and otherwise equip kol Yisrael to become functional, free members of the Body of Mashiach, useful to Him in His service.

You’ll find that I tend to intersperse Ibri (Hebrew) words in the midst of the English text of this blog often. The Scriptures weren’t originally written in English, Latin, German, Spanish, Greek etc. The authors in The Book were almost exclusively of Ibri origin. The original context of Scripture in all of its fullness can not be accurately expressed in any other language.

Even in the text that may have been recorded in the Aramaic language one finds Ibri word puns/hebraisms throughout, much to the chagrin of the ‘Aramaic originalists’.

Speaking of dirty laundry and severe spiritual dysfunction, it’s time for Yehoshua’s Talmidim to pay a visit to His altar service, bringing with us all of our sacred cows, a very sharp knife, and a heart that is sincerely overcome with grief, knowing the harm that we have caused ourselves, and may have caused others as well.

This blog is focused toward applying what is revealed in Scripture in practical ways to the everyday lives of His flock. If you have an extra-biblical agenda that you would like to promote, please avail yourself at any one of the plethora of blogs and other sites that are dedicated to your pet religious system; I will screen out every such post.

An exception to that rule may be made in the case where it seems prudent to illustrate the errors of those who promote such anti-Messiah content; rest assured, your post will not be presented in a positive light, rather it may be used to teach others about the harm that such systems do to one’s faith, walk and overall brain function. But please read on; this may be just the ‘rod of correction’ that you have needed all of your religious life.

It’s time for the Body to t’shuvah, Mikveh, put on white garments, roll up our sleeves, and get to work. We need to clean up our own backyard first, learning to discipline ourselves in the halacha of Yehoshua, then to train our wives and children. Once we ’round that bend’ we may find that we have actually become functional enough to catch the attention of our Master.

Expect to be given additional assignments from on high; no, I don’t mean from the Pastor/Congregational Leader/Elder/Rabbi. I mean from the only ‘Great One’, the only one under authority, Yehoshua haMashiach, our Kohen haGadol(High Priest) after the order of the Malki Tzadik (righteous King) by virtue of His endless life.

Make no mistake, this site is a place for mentoring those who are being called to service; nursing the spiritually damaged who are still humble enough to be useful back to health.

If you are one of the billions of people who like to sit in a pew in a church/synagogue/shul and let other’s do the work of the Kingdom, this is not the place for you. You might characterize this blog as a sort of ‘religious systems anonymous’; we’re on the path to full healing/restoration/righteousness.

We are the worker bees of the Kingdom; we don’t stop to ask permission from leaders of any religious system if we may be allowed to serve the Master. We are those who have learned to listen to the Voice, take our marching orders only from the Top, and run with it!

Whatever task comes your way to do, do it with all your strength…

He who went down is also the One who went up far above all the heavens, to fill all. And He Himself gave some as emissaries, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as shepherds and teachers for the perfecting of the set-apart ones, to the work of service to a building up of the body of the Messiah, until we all come to the unity of the belief and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the completeness of Messiah, so that we should no longer be children, tossed and borne about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of men, in cleverness, unto the craftiness of leading astray, but, maintaining the truth in love, we grow up in all respects into Him who is the head, Messiah, from whom the entire body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the working by which each part does its share, causes growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. So this I say, and witness in the Master, that you should no longer walk as the gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having been darkened in their understanding, having been estranged from the life of Elohim, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart, who, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecency, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Therefore I run accordingly, not with uncertainty. Thus I fight, not as one who beats the air. But I treat my body severely and make it my slave, so that when I have proclaimed to others, I myself might be rejected.
